Join an exciting 4-day, 3-night adventure in the heart of the Amazon, an immersive experience in the deep jungle. Discover the natural beauty and unique biodiversity of this region as you explore the jungle, spot animals in their natural habitat, interact with local communities, and immerse your senses in the wonder of the Amazon.
Day 1: Puerto Maldonado / Hacienda Herrera
𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗟 We will meet you at the airport or bus station and embark to Hacienda Herrera, traveling about 20 minutes by boat along the Madre de Dios River. After arrival we will give you all the information about your stay and you can rest a little before your first discovery activity! Lunch in dining room 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗭𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗥𝗚𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗖 𝗙𝗔𝗥𝗠 During the visit to our farm you will learn about Amazonian organic agroforestry and you will appreciate different plantations of tropical crops, such as bananas, papaya, guaba, cocoa, star fruit, mango, acerola, pineapple, sugar cane, oranges, tangerines, lemons, avocado, caimito, cocona, Amazonian chili and cassava. Depending on seasonal availability, You can try them too! • Duration: 2 hours NIGHT BY RIVER After sunset, we will set out on an exciting nighttime walk along the Madre de Dios River. If you are lucky, you will encounter caimans on the riverbanks, among other animals with incredible and strange adaptations to life in the dark. Duration of the excursion: 1.5 hours
Day 2: Hacienda Herrera / Lago Sandoval/MADRE DE DIOS RIVER
𝗧𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗢𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗔 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗘 - 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗢𝗩𝗔𝗟 𝗟𝗔𝗞𝗘 One of the most beautiful lakes in the Peruvian Amazon and the Tambopata National Reserve, Lake Sandoval is home to giant river otters, alligators, different species of monkeys, turtles, a wide variety of bird species and butterflies. Our excursion will begin very early, we will leave from the lodge by boat and then with a 3 km walk through the middle of the reserve to reach the lake. Then we will slowly sail by rowboat near the vegetation of the lake trying to spot as many animals as we can surrounded by a wonderful landscape. • Duration: half day. Breakfast during the excursion. We will return to the lodge for lunch, then we will have time to rest and relax until the start of our next experience. KAYAK IN THE MADRE DE DIOS RIVER Kayaking on an Amazon river is an activity that will deeply nurture your connection with the rainforest. Just paddle down the Madre de Dios River and enjoy the awesome feeling of paddling in the Amazon basin. While paddling downstream, you may also see wild animals among the riparian vegetation and amidst a breathtaking sunset. After a couple of hours of fun paddling on the river, we will return upstream by boat to Hacienda Herrera. Duration of tour: 2 hours We will return to the lodge to rest for our next experience . NIGHT WALK After sunset, we will head out for an exciting night walk through the jungle on a trail that starts near the lodge; if you are lucky, you will encounter frogs, praying mantises, giant spiders and other animals with incredible and bizarre adaptations to life in the dark. Duration: 1 hour
Day 3: Hacienda Herrera / Collpa cachuela /YACUMAMA LAKE
𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗣𝗔 𝗗𝗘 𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗢𝗦 𝗟𝗔 𝗖𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗨𝗘𝗟𝗔 We will leave Hacienda Herrera at 5 in the morning to travel about 45 minutes by boat upriver and reach the Cachuela clay lick when the parrots are most active. The Cachuela clay lick is the perfect place for bird lovers to see parrots and parrots, such as the yellow-fronted parrot, mealy parrot, and occasionally the blue-headed macaw and other small macaws. • Duration: 2 hours. We will return to the lodge to have breakfast and get ready for our next experience. SHIHUAHUACO TRAIL The Shihuahuaco trail is approximately 2 kilometers long and offers visitors a unique experience of direct contact with Amazonian nature. Along the route, you will pass through a wide variety of natural habitats that allow you to appreciate the rich landscape and biology of the area. Located in the buffer zone of the Tambopata National Reserve, this trail is ideal for interpretive walks, wildlife observation, and nature photography. Its privileged setting provides the opportunity to get up close to iconic trees such as the shihuahuaco, as well as birds, insects, and other animals native to the tropical forest We will return to the lodge for lunch and rest for our next experience. 𝗣𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗔 𝗗𝗘 𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗦 The Yacumama lagoon is one of the most important wetlands in the region. Currently, it is part of a conservation project, and is home to thousands of parrots and macaws that roost in the area. This natural area is managed by people from the Santa Teresa community, and they promote ecotourism to self-finance their project and invite us to be part of their initiative. Enjoy an afternoon of piranha fishing and help preserve this natural paradise. • Duration: 3 hours
Day 4: Hacienda Herrera / Rio Madre de Dios
Breakfast at the lodge. CANOPY TOWER We will visit a 40 m tower. linked to a complex system of suspension bridges in the tree canopy. In this experience you will enjoy an impressive view that will show you the life of the jungle from above. A sense of connection will be revealed between this network of towers, bridges and platforms. If you are attentive, you can witness different jungle birds, such as woodpeckers, trogons and toucans, among others! • Duration: 3 hours We will return to the lodge for lunch and rest for our next experience. TAMBOPATA SUNSET We will venture down the Tambopata River until we reach the best view of the sunset. We will wait together for the arrival of the night. Afterwards, we will return to search for nocturnal wildlife along the river banks. Hopefully we will spot many caimans, capybaras and nocturnal birds!
Day 5: Hacienda Herrera / Puerto Maldonado
Breakfast at the Lodge. 𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 We will return to town by boat at the end of your last excursion, usually in the late morning.

PAYMENT METHODS
PAYMENT METHODS: We accept cash and credit card payments. In order to make the reservation, 30% of the total payment must be paid.-NON-REFUNDABLE. The remaining balance is paid 2 weeks before the arrival.
IMPORTANT:
Any cancellation of excursions will incur a penalty of 30% of the cost of the activity to cover the operational and logistical costs of the service booked. In the case of early departures from the Lodge and cancellation of excursions on site, a penalty of 100% of the reservation will be applied.
