SOME INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR STAY
WHAT SHOULD YOU PACK FOR YOUR RAINFOREST TRIP?

Generally, it's a good idea to pack light, we'll be travelling by boat and carrying only what is necessary will facilitate luggage handling. That said, there are some items you will want to have on hand during your stay in the jungle. Below is a list of the items we suggest you bring:

Insect repellent and insect bite relief cream

Sunscreen

Rain poncho

Reusable water bottle

Cap or hat

Flip flops or sandals

Trekking shoes to wear during excursions

Swimming suit

Light pants and long-sleeved shirts for walking in the forest and to protect against sun and insects (shorts and t-shirt are ok to use while at the lodge)

We do not accept credit cards yet, so you should carry the amount of cash you will need for the additional services you may require, e.g. drinks, extra meals or laundry service.
WHAT SHOULD YOU KNOW ABOUT YOUR STAY AT OUR ECOLODGE?

Life in the rainforest is quite different from life in the city, there are some things you should keep in mind before your arrival at the Hacienda Herrera.

Electricity is available from 6pm to 9pm.

Food - We offer a daily set menu prepared mostly with regional products and produce from our organic farm. Should you have any special dietary requirements, please notify us before your arrival.

Drinking water is always available at the lodge, you should carry with you a reusable water bottle and refill it before your excursions.

Hot water is not available at our lodge, although the climate is normally quite warm/hot and a refreshing shower will be just what you need after your excursions!

Wi-Fi is not accessible from our ecolodge. As we are located in the middle of the rainforest, we offer you a unique connection with nature!
